SNAP and WIC don't pay for tampons and pads. But a bill introduced in the state legislature, which began its 2022 session Tuesday, might put free sanitary products in all K-12 public schools.

A part of writing that I desperately missed after Jingkids International was writing for a local magazine that really makes a difference in people's lives. Enter Norine Dworkin and her publication VoxPopuli. I'm honored to begin my contributing writer journey with VP on this very important piece. And I know it's important because when I told people I was working on a piece about period poverty, they asked, "What is that?"
